So many people who said my ghetto Miata turbo would never run. Then I got it to run, and there were so many people who said it wouldn’t make it out of my driveway. Then I got it driving. Then so many people said it would blow up after five miles. I’ve driven it 300 miles and it’s fine. So sick of assholes on the internet, but I also love proving them wrong.

Just like whatever asshole that changed wikipedia from 5.0 to this on everything a 5.0 was ever put in:
302 cu in (4.9 L) Windsor V8 [4] (marketed as a “5.0" model)

Catastrophic failure at between 400 and 999,999 miles. Calling it now.
Still seriously impressed that the ghetto turbo works, though. Original MCM style.

Just fine, actually.

Exactly as intended?

Right, because a difference of
less than four thousandths of an inch over nominal bore
wouldn’t have made it round up instead of down. I’m sure that no 302s ever left the factory as far out as that - unpossible.
